The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 329

Chapter 329:.noveldrama

Standing in the doorway, Benjamin got a good look at everyone’s faces.

The strongest one was named Carter who, wearing a black jacket, was supposed to be their leader. Carter stepped aside to command the others carrying stuff, they were much thinner than Carter, they looked like drug addicts.

“Why are you so late? Come on, help.” Seeing Benjamin, Carter said, “Don’t you want the warehouse empty at once, quick!”

Benjamin nodded and went inside.

“Strange, this time you even help us.” Carter doubted his behavior.

After moving a box, Benjamin counted the drug shipments in the trunk, thinking that those smugglers would spend the rest of their lives in jail.

“Alfred said we had to sell them as fast as possible before the festival, then another batch of shipments would be produced for the following year.”

Carter’s voice rang out in front of the car and his employees echoed his sentiments warmly.

Benjamin noticed that in the corner of the warehouse there were tools for making drugs, including measuring cups and tubes. Those people were producing and selling the drugs themselves, so they must be making huge profits.

Concentrating on the profit, someone called out to him over the headphones.

“Where are you?”

Five minutes ago, he received a signal to Andrea that he couldn’t receive earlier because of the smugglers’ signal jammer.

Benjamin lowered his voice. “There are six men here, in the warehouse.”

“We’ll be there soon.”

Suddenly, Benjamin’s shoulder was patted by Carter, who questioned, “Who are you talking to?”

At that moment, Benjamin was thinking quickly, and just as he was ready to explain himself, someone shouted from the laundry room.

“Carter, something’s wrong. Bowen is tied up in here.”

Before Carter could react, Benjamin threw off his arms and stabbed him forcefully with a knife.

Carter screamed in pain and crouched down covering his belly.

The other men in the warehouse quickly ran out. When they realized Carter was wounded, the next thing they knew, Benjamin was their enemy and they shouted, “Don’t let him go. Kill him!”

Along with the man in the laundry room, there were five men attacking Benjamin.

Although he was considered an excellent student at the University of Public Safety, he was not good at fighting, as Andrea had said earlier.

Seeing them pounce on him, he immediately reached into his pocket for the powder.

Before leaving, he got some powder that provoked allergic reactions, these could blind them despite taking a while to be effective. Unfortunately, he did not find it and remembered that the powder was in the coat he had put on Bowen to keep him warm enough.

At that moment, several shots rang out from the southeast corner of the warehouse.

Benjamin was crouching with his head covered by his hands, waiting to be hit by those people. One of whom, however, dropped to the ground, screaming from the wound in his arm.

Benjamin raised his head and found that Andrea was stepping on him like a heroine, who looked at him and asked, “Are you all right?”

“Yeah.” He shook his head and stood up against the car door.

Three minutes later, five men along with Bowen were ordered to kneel in the corner, guarded by two members of Andrea’s squad who were pointing a gun fiercely at them.

In reality, only the squad members knew that the guns were the fake ones and could only be used to make some sounds and hit others like bricks.

“Is everything here?” Andrea looked at the paper boxes in the trunk.

Benjamin nodded, “Yes. They are the same ones we saw before.”

Hearing this, Stella unwrapped one of the boxes with a knife and was surprised at what was in it.

“What?”

What she found was a box of cartoon clocks.

Benjamin frowned and opened the rest of the boxes, all filled with the same clocks.

Andrea looked at him without speaking.

Benjamin was so angry that he threw the boxes down, held his sharp knife toward the men and grabbed Carter’s neck, asking, “Where are the drugs?”

“Drugs? What are you talking about?”

“Tell me the truth already.” Benjamin slapped him squarely in the face, “Where are the drugs?”

“I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean.” Carter looked innocent, “Drugs? That’s illegal. We’re entrepreneurs selling toys, I think you’ve got us confused.”

“What the hell!” Benjamin snapped angrily, but was controlled by Andrea.

“It’s okay.” Stella frowned and asked, “But if you only sell toys, why did you run away from us when you saw us? Besides, how can you rent this big place with these toys?”.

Clearly, to rent the warehouse, they needed a lot of money, as it was located in Chengdong District, quite close to the city center. Moreover, without Bowen, they could not use it as it was exclusive for a certain group.

Therefore, it is impossible for them to rent the warehouse to place some worthless toys.

“I don’t lie, let me show you.”

Carter was examining Andrea’s facial expression.

“Okay.” Andrea glared at him and said, “Open them one by one.”

The toys weren’t just toys.

Carter walked to the car hesitantly, opened the nearest box, pulled out a watch and opened it in front of Andrea and Benjamin.

“Look! They’re normal.”

As Benjamin approached, a sharp knife appeared in front of him.

“Be careful!”

Before he had time to dodge it, he was shoved by Andrea.

Andrea grunted and looked extremely pained, but instantly snatched the weapon from Carter’s hand. Carter was then kicked to the ground and was handcuffed by Andrea’s companions.

“Ma’am, are you okay?”

Andrea shook her head with sweat pouring from her forehead.

Benjamin noticed blood trickling from her belly through the fingers pressing on the wound. His face paled visibly.

“Andrea, you’re hurt.”

“Ma’am…”

“Take care of them and the toys, I think we need to inspect the watches. I’m going to take her to the hospital now.”

Then he carried Stella on his back, hurrying away.

In the snowy night, a girl who had been strong and brave for 19 years held onto a young man’s back and smiled on the way to the hospital, “Don’t be so nervous, I’m fine, really. The wound isn’t even as bad as the ones I got in the drills.”

“Shut up.” Benjamin took a short, quick breath, running faster, “They’re not the same wounds. This time you were wounded by me.”

“What if I die?”

Benjamin was stunned, asking anxiously, “But you said you were fine a moment ago.”

“Oh, that’s a guess.” Andrea’s voice gradually faded and she asked indifferently, “Benjamin, I remembered you just called me…”.

“…”.
