Remarriage You 464
Chapter 464 Someone Would Soon Replace Her
After Zachary was released from the detention center, the wedding plans for Stanley and Mindy were quickly resumed. However, due to Mindy's noticeable pregnancy, the ceremony was kept understated and simple.
One reason for the simplicity was that it didn't seem entirely appropriate for a visibly pregnant bride to have an elaborate ceremony. Additionally, a grand affair could prove too taxing for both the bride and the child she was carrying. Mindy was dissatisfied, but she had no say in the matter.
Moreover, if she insisted on making it a grand affair, it would seem as though she didn't care about the child.
The wedding car left Jacaster just after five in the morning, and by the time they picked up the bride, it was already eight o'clock.
Mindy, in a delicate embroidered wedding dress, stood beside Stanley, who was impeccably dressed in a tailored suit. Together, they exchanged vows before Stanley gently assisted Mindy into their new marital home.
As a member of the Fuller family, Lenora, along with Mallory and a few aunt-in-laws, was responsible for entertaining the guests.
Just after ten, they set off together for the hotel.
Although the wedding was kept simple, the hotel venue was lavishly decorated, exuding elegance and charm. The guest list, however, was kept intimate, with only close family members from both sides invited. To accommodate everyone, the Fuller family had arranged for two large buses to transport all the relatives from the Schmidt residence to the hotel.
Lenora, Mallory, and Mindy's mother exchanged pleasantries with the guests while escorting them into the hall. As Lenora turned around, she caught sight of a familiar figure-Tamara.
She was elegantly dressed, exuding an air of nobility as she walked in, clutching her handbag.
Lenora and Mallory shared a glance before the former said, "One of the bride's cousins hasn't arrived yet. I'll go and check."
Since Tamara didn't fancy Lenora, Lenora couldn't be bothered to greet her either.
"All right," Mallory responded.
Tamra saw Lenora approaching her. She lifted her chin, exuding an air of superiority as she began haughtily, "Why are you..."
Before she could finish speaking, Lenora walked past her without even sparing her a glance, as if she didn't see her at all.
Tamara's voice faltered, and she clenched her fists in fury, sneering inwardly. I'm Zachary's mother! How dare she ignore me? Does she think she can act arrogantly just because Zachary is fond of her? Just wait and see! Someone would soon replace her! Mallory stepped forward. "Aunt Tamara, you're here too. When did you get back?"
Coming back to her senses, Tamara smoothed her hair. "I just got back yesterday. As Stanley's aunt, of course I should attend his wedding."
"You should prepare a generous gift for the bride then, Aunt Tamara," Mallory said.
Lenora arrived at the entrance of the hotel to see Madison walking in with Arnold.
"Ms. Schmidt, Mr. Schmidt," Lenora greeted as they approached. Glancing at Arnold, she said with a smile, "You look great, Mr. Schmidt. How are you feeling now?"
Arnold had met Lenora once before at the hospital. He said cheerfully, "I'm much better now."
"Ms. Wilkin? What brings you here?" Madison asked curiously.
Lenora raised an eyebrow. "You don't know? Your cousin's marrying my cousin. I didn't see you or Mr. Schmidt among those who got off the bus, so I specifically came to greet you."
Surprised, Madison said with a smile, "So Mindy's boyfriend is your cousin? What a coincidence."
She hadn't seen Mindy for quite some time and hadn't been back to the village either. All she knew about Mindy's marriage was what she had heard from her father.
That day, after she got off work, she heard from Arnold that Mindy had started dating a wealthy guy who was attractive and capable. Arnold also told her that Mindy had come over to their house that day, but she had been at work. Angus was the one who informed Arnold about the wedding; Arnold then relayed the message to Madison.
Madison didn't particularly care about who Mindy was involved with, nor had she ever bothered to ask in detail.
It was only then that she realized it was actually Lenora's cousin.
When Lenora's father passed away, she was adopted by the Fuller family. Hence, her so-called cousin must undoubtedly be a member of the Fuller family.
Therefore, Zachary would also be present.
Recalling her past dealings with Zachary, Mindy glanced at Lenora, clenching her fists subconsciously. A wave of guilt washed over her.
Lenora led the two individuals into the grand hall, inviting them to find a seat and settle down.
Once most of the guests had arrived, Lenora made her way toward a round table near the stage.
The people seated at this table were all from the Fuller family, including Allison, Mallory, Ryan, and others.
Tamara took a seat to the left of Allison.
Lenora approached the table, pausing at a spot one seat away from Tamara. She pulled out a chair and sat down, leaving the seat next to Tamara for Zachary. Tamara glanced at Lenora and scoffed out loud. She has no manners at all!
Her scoff drew the attention of the few relatives.
Most of the extended family
members had never been fond of Lenora. When she first arrived at the Fuller residence, they often greeted her with sarcastic remarks and
thinly veiled disdain. Their att de
toward her began to shift only after she married Zachary.
Lenora smiled. "You're here, Aunt Tamara. When are you leaving?"
Tamara sneered. "What's the matter? Can't wait to get rid of me?"
"I was just curious. After all, when Grandpa passed away, you didn't show up. So, I thought you wouldn't come this time either. I'm surprised how influential Stanley is to get you to come..." Lenora commented passive-aggressively. "You..." Tamara was livid.
Allison tugged at her arm. "It's Stanley's big day. Just bear with it."
As the wedding was about to commence, a pair of large hands pulled out the chair to Lenora's right. Zachary sat down, holding Lenora's hand that was resting on her lap. He fiddled with her hand

absentmindedly and asked, "When did you get back, Aunt Tamara?"
"Yesterday." Tamara's face fell as she noticed Zachary's actions.
"When are you leaving?" he asked the same question.
Tamara was infuriated to hear that. This brat's so into Lenora that he's out of his mind! He knows I'm his mother but he doesn't want me around!
"You... You just couldn't wait for me to leave, huh?" she exclaimed.
"You've lived abroad for decades. I'm just worried you might not be accustomed to staying here," he replied calmly.
Tamara sneered. "Mind your own business! You used to be so devoted to me. But after you got married..."
I have to hurry and do something! I'd be p*ssed to death if I allow Zachary to continue being with Lenora.
"As long as you don't meddle with us, I can still be devoted to you as I used to," Zachary said indifferently. Tamara knew what Zachary meant. The latter wanted her to stay in Lofbury and never return.
Hah! In his dreams! I'd never accept Jasmine's daughter as my daughter-in-law!
At twelve o'clock, the wedding commenced and the groom made his entrance.
Madison gazed at the man on stage, momentarily taken aback. Mr. Stanley Fuller?
Upon reflection, she realized it wasn't particularly surprising. It was just that she had assumed it was one of Zachary's other cousins, not expecting it to be Stanley.
So Mr. Stanley Fuller would be my cousin-in-law in the future? That's quite amusing.
Suddenly, Madison felt a stir in her stomach.noveldrama
Realizing what it was, she quickly scanned her surroundings, making sure no one was watching. She then placed her hand on her belly, gently caressing it. The slight protrusion beneath her palm seemed to respond, a soft reminder of the life growing inside her.
