Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1261

"Rose, whether Aurora keeps her baby or not, she'll pay for her crimes. I will never let her go! I was too foolish to trust her before. I'm truly sorry for not believing you. Can you forgive me?"

Rosalie closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I was furious about it before, but now it's all over. Everyone can be blinded at some point. As long as you see her true colors now, that's enough. There's no need to say more. It's late-go home."

Theodore glanced behind Rosalie. "Justin isn't here?"

"He's already left."

"What?" For Theodore, this was good news. "Where did he go? He hasn't come back?"

"That's none of your business. Theo, I brought evidence to your wedding today to stop your marriage with Aurora not because I think there's still a chance between us, but because she killed Grandma and tried to harm my child. I want her to pay."

"Rose, are you saying that even if Aurora ends up in prison and Justin has already left, there's still no possibility for us?"

"Theo. I've said this many times before, and I don't want to repeat myself. Let's live our own lives, alright? You need time to process everything with Aurora. Go home and rest. You don't look well."

Theodore indeed looked like a sick man, his complexion pale and lifeless.

"Rose..." Theodore's breathing grew heavy. "I didn't really want to marry her. I don't want to be with her, Rose..."

Theodore suddenly grabbed her hand.

Rosalie forcefully shook him off. "Don't touch me!"

"Rose!" Theodore suddenly collapsed to the ground.

Startled, Rosalie crouched down. "Theo, what's wrong?"

"Rose, I'm so tired...so very tired..." Theodore slowly closed his eyes.noveldrama

"Theo? Theo?"

Rosalie touched his forehead and was alarmed by the high

temperature. After struggling to lift Theodore onto the bed, she removed his shoes and jacket and wiped his face and hands with a damp towel.

Steve, lying in his cradle, stared at them with his bright, curious eyes. He started making cooing sounds. "Mama... Uncle."

Hearing the sound, Rosalie turned and saw her son awake. She walked over and picked him up from the cradle.

"Baby, why are you awake? Did Mommy wake you?"

"Uncle, Uncle." Steve pointed at the man on the bed.

Rosalie was surprised. "You're calling him Uncle?"

She recalled how Steve used to randomly call people "Daddy." But now, it was "Uncle," no longer the incorrect "Daddy."

Rosalie kissed Steve on the cheek and whispered in his ear, "He's your daddy. You can call him Daddy Just don't call anyone else Daddyo anymore, alright?"

Steve snuggled against his mother, quietly sucking on his fingers.

Rosalie placed Steve beside Theodore on the bed. "Steve, stay here and keep Uncle company. Mommy's going to wash the towel and get some fever medicine."

After Rosalie left, Steve sat beside Theodore and gently patted his face with his little hand. "Daddy. Daddy."

Theodore seemed to hear someone

calling him "Daddy." Though his

body was utterly exhausted, a surge of joy welled up within him,

vel

compelling him to slowly open his eyes.

His vision blurred, but gradually, he saw a small child sitting beside him.
